Lessons in Balance from Around the World
If you know me, you know that I'm mildly obsessed with travel. Not just for the food or scenery, though I do love those too. Because of what we can learn from others who are living life a bit (or a lot) differently.
Having grown up in the United States, but spent quite a bit of time outside of the country, I think we have a lot to learn from other countries, including when it comes to the work-life conversation.
Not surprisingly, some of our northern European friends—think Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands—seem to value "balance" more than we do.
What if we embraced a new definition of success that prioritizes our well-being and personal fulfillment just as much as our careers? How could your life change if you put balance first?
