Procrastinators Unite…or Not

So, I'll be honest. Procrastination makes me nervous. I’m the type who finishes things early because last-minute panic stresses me out. But I’ve learned… not everyone works this way.

Some people thrive under pressure—turning looming deadlines into turbocharged focus. If that’s you, no judgment (okay, maybe a little envy). Instead of forcing yourself into someone else’s work style, what if you aligned your approach with what actually works for you?

Try this for better work-life alignment:

✔ Time-block your “panic mode” – If you do your best work under pressure, schedule controlled bursts of last-minute energy so it doesn’t take over your life.

✔ Start wrong – Perfectionism fuels procrastination. Give yourself permission to do a messy first draft so it doesn’t consume all your time.

✔ Use the 5-minute rule – Tell yourself you’ll start for just 5 minutes. Momentum will handle the rest (and free up more time for things like life).

Are you an early bird or a deadline sprinter?
