The Career Compass

Clearly, I love a good travel metaphor. I’ve always been drawn to travel, adventure, and exploring the unknown, which is probably why I love using it to talk about all things work-life. Because, honestly, the two have a lot in common. When you’re traveling, you don’t always know exactly how the journey will unfold, but you trust yourself to figure it out. Careers work the same way.

Feeling lost in your career? Maybe the answer isn’t having it all figured out, but simply knowing which direction feels right. We often get stuck searching for the perfect next step, waiting for total + absolute certainty before making a move. But, what if career clarity isn’t about perfection, but rather alignment?

Instead of asking:

❌ "What’s the perfect next step?"

Try:

✅ "What feels right, right now?"

Sometimes, the best career decisions start with trusting your internal compass even before you see the full map. If you stopped overanalyzing and trusted your own direction, where would your career compass point next?
